RIGHT NOW is a critical time for the South West's magnificent forests.

Implementation of the 10-year Forest Management Plan (2014-2023) is currently under review and in May 2019 the 20-year Regional Forest Agreement will expire. These are two major opportunities to improve protection of the forests and their wildlife. But, it is also a time of great risk; the native forest logging lobby is pushing to increase the scale and intensity of logging in the South West.

We need to make sure that the McGowan Government and the next Federal Government cannot ignore the powerful community support for forest conservation.

Change will happen when the decision-makers cannot ignore the fact that forest and wildlife protection is a top priority for Western Australians.
