1. Come along to the WAFA AGM in Beautiful Barrabup Forest

Saturday 24th November
11:30am - 2:30pm
Barrabup Forest
Please bring a chair, mug and plate, lunch-y things to share
We'll have hot water and tables and we'll have a shared pot-luck lunch while we meet.
Logging is planned to start up again in Barrabup over the summer. The approx 3500 strong petition was finalised recently by the parliamentary committee and the FPC has been given the go ahead to start planning again for it to be logged. Thanks to the extraordinary work of the Barrabup Conservation Group, a portion of the forest has been added to the newly mapped old-growth areas and won't be logged, and the old-growth that was cleared in roading has to be 'rehabilitated' and we have been given a lengthy reprieve and Barrabup is very well known now but, FPC has told the locals that logging will occur over the summer.
This is an excellent opportunity to come and have a look around and find out how you can support the campaign to protect this beautiful old jarrah forest, and be a apart of the AGM!
