1. JOIN THE TEAM

We have nearly 200 people on the team collecting signatures on a Parliamentary petition and we're aiming for more than 10 000 signatures that we will deliver to Parliament House on International Day of the Forests, the 21st of March.

This petition calls on the Legislative Council to enquire into the most timely and effective means for the McGowan Government to act on its pre-election commitments to 'immediately conserve High Conservation Value forests' and 'complete the transition of the timber industry to sustainably managed plantations and farm forestry'.

We're well on our way, with more than 8000 signatures at last count, and we're welcoming new people to the team. Follow this link to join the team and help us deliver a truly significant message for forest protection on March 21st.

You can also download and print the petition form and start getting signatures right away! You'll see on the bottom of the sheet that they are due back in on the 9th of March.

2. WATCH AND SHARE OUR NEW VIDEO

This powerful new 1 minute video, filmed in Lewin forest near Manjimup a few months ago, exposes what is happening behind the strip of roadside vegetation in the world's only karri forests. Please share it with your networks to help make sure that everyone in WA is aware of what is still happening in our spectacular, ancient forests.

3. TAKE ACTION ONLINE

The new video asks people to sign a new and critically important online petition to local Labor MLAs and MLCs. Please use the link to send your message. It is set up to be very quick and easy, and is a very effective tool. If you'd like to tailor the email to ask your Labor representative(s) for a meeting, we will provide you with support and materials.

4. COME TO PARLIAMENT ON 21st March

For a celebration and delivery of a massive forest petition! Save the date and we will give you more information soon. Here is a link to the Facebook event page.
